Exchange is a publication project developed from the Multiple Fairs Art Book Fair at Boston University. Through a self-published booklet, the work collects and reorganizes materials from different exhibitors, examining how value is constructed within independent publishing.

Rather than treating price as a fixed number, the project considers multiple factors—such as labor, time, accessibility, and cultural meaning. By comparing different production methods, from handmade zines to digital works, it reveals how designers and artists navigate between economy, expression, and distribution.

The project reframes the book fair as more than a temporary event, transforming it into a structured archive that documents and reflects on systems of value in contemporary publishing.
