Five books
about the project
Five Books examines five influential design books through a self-published publication. Rather than focusing only on content, the project approaches each book as a designed object—analyzing its layout system, image–text relationship, material choices, and binding methods. By breaking down these elements, the work reveals how design decisions shape reading experience and the transmission of knowledge. Each section combines structured analysis with a speculative redesign, exploring how these books can be reinterpreted through contemporary design approaches. The project positions the book not only as a container of information, but as a system in which typography, structure, and material actively construct meaning.
