Coffee Ground Cycle

about the project

Coffee Grounds is a system-driven design project that rethinks coffee waste as a reusable resource. The project proposes a closed-loop ecosystem that connects cafés, consumers, and local processing points, transforming used coffee grounds into new materials and products. The design integrates product, digital, and service layers—including a coffee collection machine, mobile interfaces, service blueprints, and a cohesive brand identity. Together, these elements map the full journey from disposal to reuse, making the system visible, accessible, and actionable. By considering multiple stakeholders and touchpoints, the project explores how design can structure everyday systems, bridge physical and digital experiences, and encourage sustainable behavioral change.
